Windblown Fate
Jessica, a former war correspondent, gave up her career to become a housewife after marriage and motherhood. Ten years later, her husband, Shawn, gifted her late mother’s prized camera to his "little sister," Yvonne. Jessica soon discovered their ambiguous relationship, and to her dismay, even her daughter, Megan, idolized Yvonne. Heartbroken, Jessica applied to return to the battlefield. Her bureau chief warned her, "War correspondents must remain until the conflict ends," implying she might not come back alive. She filed for divorce, but Shawn dismissed it indifferently. The final straw came when Megan called Yvonne "Mom" during a livestream. Devastated, Jessica later exposed Yvonne’s lies—claiming to travel the world while secretly leeching off wealthy men and, worse, stealing Jessica’s treasured war photographs to pass off as her own. But when Jessica confronted her publicly, Megan and Shawn accused her of lying. During a street assault, Jessica’s live coverage went viral, revealing her true identity as a war journalist. Megan, seeing her mother’s bravery for the first time, began to question everything. Yet Yvonne continued mocking Jessica as a "wannabe influencer." The truth exploded when Jessica discovered Yvonne had signed a lucrative photography deal using her stolen images—some of which contained classified battlefield details. Jessica reported the theft, leading to Yvonne’s arrest. Shawn and Megan were stunned. Jessica again demanded a divorce, but Shawn tore up the papers. Assigned to an imminent warzone deployment, Jessica prepared to leave. At the airport, Shawn begged on his knees, but she walked away. Meanwhile, Megan fell severely ill, and Shawn, now alone, realized how much Jessica had sacrificed. His regret deepened when Yvonne—desperate for money—dragged Megan to a KTV bar, where she nearly got assaulted by drunk men. Shawn rescued her, cutting ties with Yvonne for good. In a final act of redemption, Shawn quit his hospital job and followed Jessica into the warzone as a battlefield medic. Amidst the chaos, he begged for forgiveness, but Jessica, hardened by betrayal and reignited by purpose, chose her duty over the past.
