The Severed Finger
Zhao Xiaoxing was imprisoned for ten years on a charge of intentional injury after standing up for his mother during his youth. Now, he runs the Happy Dumpling Shop, hoping to lead an ordinary life. However, things don't turn out as he wishes. The appearance of several hooligans disrupts Zhao Xiaoxing's peaceful life. They deliberately look for trouble, falsely accusing Zhao Xiaoxing's restaurant of being a shady business and claiming that they found worms in the food. Zhao Xiulian and Zhao Xiaoxing repeatedly plead for mercy, but it's all in vain. When Zhao Xiaofu returns home after exams and witnesses all this, she immediately steps forward to defend the family. Unfortunately, she catches the attention of the hooligans. From then on, her troubles begin. Soon, the argument escalates into a fight. Zhao Xiaoxing keeps showing tolerance, but in response, the hooligans become even more aggressive. The dumpling shop is smashed up, and Zhao Xiaoxing is severely beaten. Zhao Xiaofu threatens to call the police, which temporarily scares the hooligans off. After that, the landlord says that they can't continue running the shop and demands to take it back. Helplessly, Zhao Xiaoxing can only pack up his valuables and head back home to come up with another plan.
