The mother of Jiang Zao, the legitimate daughter of the Jiang family, fell out of favor due to aging and was sold into the Regent's manor by her father in collusion with his concubine. There, she began a path of vengeance stained with blood at every step, climbing the "Buddhist pagoda of blood," and ultimately ascending to the legitimate position of Regent Consort.
