Spring Blooms, Blessings Come Naturally
Qi Zhaodi was born into a family that favored sons over daughters and was married off early to get a bride price. Her husband was a good man but died in a mining accident, leaving the female protagonist alone with her sick mother-in-law. The female protagonist decided to stay in her husband's family to take care of her mother-in-law, Xiuying, and they depended on each other. When Qi Zhaodi's natal family (Qi Laohan and Qi Mama) learned that she had lost her husband and received compensation from the mining accident, they came up with the idea of having Qi Zhaodi return to her natal family with 188,000 yuan in compensation to be used as the bride price for her younger brother, Qi Yaozu. After a series of maneuvers, the female protagonist still did not compromise. However, Qi Zhaodi was constantly harassed by the village hooligan, Liu Mang, and even her natal family colluded with Liu Mang to ruin Qi Zhaodi's reputation and force her into an irreversible situation. Finally, Liu Mang was sent to prison by Qi Zhaodi. But Qi Yaozu's marriage was imminent, so the Qi family came up with the idea of having the younger sister, Qi Tingmei, enter into an exchange marriage and marry the stupid older brother of Qi Yaozu's wife. Thus, Qi Zhaodi began a plan to rescue her younger sister.
