Luis’ whole family got poisoned by pufferfish and was rushed to the hospital. Since only the special medicine from Luis’ company could save them, Summer called him for help. But Luis was busy celebrating Yancy’s birthday and, to avoid being disturbed, turned off his phone. When he found out that Yancy’s parents also got poisoned, he gave them the medicine, which ended up causing his own family’s death. Summer found out that Yancy’s parents were selling pufferfish, which led to the deaths of Luis’ family. So, she filed a lawsuit. Luis thought Summer’s parents were the ones who died, so he stepped in to defend Yancy. He pressured Summer into signing a forgiveness agreement, insulted the deceased, and even forced Summer to send the bodies to his company for dissection. Summer complied, and only then did Luis realize that it was his own family who had died. He blamed Summer and demanded she pay him ten million for the loss. Instead of paying, Summer used Luis' need to give Yancy and their unborn child a family name to her advantage and successfully divorced him. At Yancy and Luis’ wedding, Summer showed up uninvited. After enduring humiliation, she finally got proof that Yancy intentionally caused the deaths of Luis’ family. Luis saw Yancy’s true nature and, in revenge, personally poisoned Yancy. After the divorce, Luis’ company went bankrupt. He begged Summer to remarry him, but she refused. Luis then tried to threaten her with a USB drive, but Summer stood firm, reported him for attempted murder, and he was arrested.
