Scorching Doomsday
At first, no one paid attention to this disaster until the prolonged high temperatures lasting for dozens of days, followed by droughts in the fields and broken river flows, made people realize that the apocalypse had arrived. On my way home from work, I drove straight to the supermarket, purchased some supplies, and stored them in my apartment. Just then, I received a red alert for extreme heat from the city government, so I requested leave from my boss and got approved. Thus, I began my vacation. As temperatures continued to rise, people's lives were severely disrupted by water shortages and power outages, forcing them to stay indoors. Fortunately, my neighbor Xing Teng was there for companionship, and we helped each other. However, it remains uncertain whether they will safely survive this apocalypse.
