Inviting trouble in
Lily and Chan, married with a daughter named An'an, had a peaceful life until Lily helped Wence, a woman escaping abuse, by hiring her as a maid. Things took a turn when Lily found Chan and Wence in a compromising situation. Furious, Lily decided to divorce Chan, but he demanded custody of An'an. Meanwhile, Wence convinced An'an to push for the divorce. In a rush of emotion, An'an was hit by a car and died. Lily asked Chan to come see their daughter, but Wence blocked him. Chan was still celebrating An'an’s birthday with Wence and later threw An'an’s ashes at Wence's daughter. Lily insisted on Chan joining An'an’s final journey, but he accused her of lying. In the end, Lily lost custody of her daughter and signed the divorce papers. The next day, she was kicked out, realizing Chan had plotted to take everything from her.
