Forgotten Bonds
Ethan Grant originally planned to bring his parents to the city to enjoy family time together and take care of his pregnant wife, Catherine Wood. However, Catherine, in collusion with her mother, Fiona Collins, orchestrates a fake car accident to test Ethan's care for her. After the staged accident, Ethan, in a panic, accompanies Catherine to the hospital, but forgets his parents are locked in the car. As the temperature inside the car rises, his father, William Grant, suffers a heart attack with no medicine in the car. His mother, Sophia Bennett, repeatedly calls for help, but due to Ethan's distraction with Catherine, he fails to answer in time and misses the best time for medical treatment. The police's satellite tracking delays the rescue, and William is declared dead after failed attempts to revive him at the hospital. Ethan misses the chance to be with his father during his final moments, as well as the cremation ceremony. Sophia, devastated by the loss of her husband, returns home with his ashes, only to find Ethan indifferent to her grief, which breaks her completely. Ultimately, Ethan learns of his father's death and experiences a deep awakening.
