Enough Pretending: I'm No Nobody
As a child, Su Qiao was deliberately swapped by the housekeeper, leading her parents to raise the fake daughter Su Yirou instead. Through her own intelligence and talent, Su Qiao was admitted to a prestigious foreign university with a recommendation during high school. After graduation, she founded a top luxury jewelry brand and became a renowned jewelry designer abroad. She met Huo Yunxiu, and the two fell in love at first sight. A year after their marriage, they had a daughter, Huo Ting, overseas. Upon returning to China, Su Qiao paused her career for her child, but her mother-in-law, Gao Meizhu, regarded her as a freeloading housewife. After a bet between them, Su Qiao decided to start working from the grassroots at a small company to prove herself. However, due to a casual instruction from Huo Yunxiu—a total wife-doting man— the HR staff at the small company mistakenly identified Su Qiao’s junior high school classmate, Zhou Meishu, as the CEO’s wife, currying favor with Zhou without limits. Zhou Meishu not only falsely accused Su Qiao of stealing in elementary school (claiming she was expelled for it) but also colluded with the company’s supervisors and colleagues to bully Su Qiao in the workplace. Su Qiao faced it all calmly and, using her professional skills, exposed Zhou Meishu’s fake identity as a wealthy heiress. Enraged, Zhou Meishu asked her creditors to “deal with” Su Qiao in exchange for money, plotting to kidnap her. Finally, at the small company’s annual awards ceremony, Huo Yunxiu directly announced Su Qiao’s identity as the CEO’s wife. Zhou Meishu, along with the snobbish supervisors and colleagues, were fired and publicly reprimanded. After the banquet, Su Qiao found her biological parents, only to discover she had been used by them—they wanted her to marry a perverted rich second-generation in place of Su Yirou. Su Yirou also, under the guise of the Su family’s real daughter, repeatedly suppressed Su Qiao at the company.
