Divorce Is Prohibited
In their childhood, Jiang Wan and Lu Yancheng were abducted by human traffickers and sold to the countryside. The two of them worked together to escape, and in order to save Jiang Wan, Lu Yancheng was injured, leaving behind a scar with a special mark. Before they parted ways, Lu Yancheng gave her a jade pendant as a token, telling her to find him one day. Years later, as an adult, Jiang Wan recognized Lu Yancheng, but because of their differences in status, she didn’t dare reveal herself. Unexpectedly, Lu Yancheng’s grandfather secretly plotted to bring them together. However, Lu Yancheng didn’t recognize Jiang Wan as the girl from his childhood. Instead, he mistakenly thought she had drugged him to climb into his bed in order to marry him, taking the position that was originally meant for the little girl. As a result, the two of them became a couple filled with resentment. Jiang Wan originally thought that she could win him over and reveal the truth later. But to her surprise, Lu Yancheng grew increasingly disdainful of her, and their misunderstandings piled up. After Jiang Wan was in a car accident while pregnant, Lu Yancheng not only showed no concern, but even proposed a divorce. Jiang Wan, filled with disappointment, swore never to love him again, and as a result, lost her memory of Lu Yancheng and returned to the age of 18. After waking up from the accident, Jiang Wan was told by Lu Yancheng that he wanted a divorce the moment they met. She decided to hide her pregnancy, and after the divorce, she would raise the child on her own. When they were about to divorce, Lu Yancheng’s grandmother intervened, and they signed a contractual marriage, both going through the motions to appease her. Everyone noticed that Jiang Wan’s personality had changed drastically since she lost her memory, and she no longer clung to Lu Yancheng. Unexpectedly, this sparked Lu Yancheng’s rebelliousness. Through a series of interactions, the two of them began to get to know each other more genuinely and gradually opened their hearts to one another. After Jiang Wan regained her memory, she was unwilling to repeat the past and decided to follow her heart and divorce Lu Yancheng. At that moment, Lu Yancheng realized how much of a jerk he had been back then, and thus began a long journey of chasing his wife and trying to reconcile.
