Crossroads of Vengeance and Love
Father Li is imprisoned for economic crimes, and the Li family falls from grace. Li Wanyi returns from abroad, forced by pressure to marry Song Lun, the younger brother of Song Tingyuan, the richest man in Songcheng. Song Lun is over 50 years old, and marrying him would make Wanyi the aunt of Song Yubai. Having had a secret crush on Yubai since their school days, Wanyi devises a plan to secretly contact him, and Yubai gladly reciprocates her advances. Later, Yubai disrupts the wedding of Song Lun and Wanyi. At a Song family banquet, he reveals that he and Wanyi are already married. Wanyi’s plan succeeds: she avoids marrying Song Lun and rescues the Li Group from financial difficulties. However, Yubai has a “gossip girlfriend” named Su Jin’an, while Wanyi has a “gentle senior” named Gu Yanzhi. Misunderstandings and mutual jealousy arise as the two navigate their relationship. Adding to the chaos is Su Jin’an’s close friend Xue Danning, who frequently harasses Wanyi and meddles in her life. Farces unfold in hospitals, shopping malls, balls, and police stations, all of which the female lead Li Wanyi easily defuses. During these incidents, Yubai steps in to protect her, and their hearts grow closer. By an unfortunate twist of fate, a video of Gu Yanzhi sending flowers to Wanyi,misinterpreted by passersby as a proposal,goes viral. After the video surfaces, Yubai believes he has no chance with Wanyi and becomes furious. A love triangle ensues, and photos emerge of Wanyi happily adopting a child abroad with her senior years ago. Deeply devastated, Yubai signs a divorce agreement in a fit of anger. Shortly after, recalling their past, Yubai refuses to give up. He finally musters the courage to confess his feelings, driven by unwillingness to let go, and discovers that Wanyi loves him too,a mutual confirmation of their affection. The two resolve their past misunderstandings.
