Breaking Through the Darkness: A Redemption Mission
After failing to find a job and being abandoned by her civil servant boyfriend, Fang Tian accepted her friend Jiayi’s invitation to visit Southeast Asia. In Thailand, she was accompanied by Brother Jiu. Brother Jiu saved her from being drugged at a bar and lured her to Cambodia for a "tourism investment inspection". On the trip, the group was taken to Myanmar by Brother Jiu and fell into a fraud syndicate. There, Fang Tian argued with Jiayi. Master Bai deterred newcomers via punishing escapees; Cui Laopao trained them in fraud. Fang Tian refused and was locked up. Master Bai tried to harm her, but Brother Jiu stopped him with a new fraud plan, backed by boss Fourth Miss. Fourth Miss forced most to join via threats and lures. Fang Tian proposed a fund disk fraud scheme. She secretly warned the victim, ruining the plan, but survived via persuasion. Later, she destroyed the server, was identified and locked in a water prison—where Cui Laopao revealed he was an undercover agent. Brother Jiu rescued Fang Tian. They were nearly caught at the border but saved by domestic rescue. Fang Tian asked Jiayi to return to China, but Jiayi refused. Jiayi went back, executed Cui Laopao, took over the park, and a new fraud cycle began.
